Agnes Water/1770 Fishing Report
13th Nov 2011
Agnes Water/1770 Bait & Tackle
We're having an awesome spring season here at 1770. Most species are in good numbers and very big!
Around the headland has been great with the lure tossers reporting lots of school mackeral, good spanish, longtail tuna, big GT's and huge Queenfish to around 13kg.
Trolling off the headland in tinny's is producing good fish, with spanish to 24kg. Inside the creek mouth is fishing well with Queenies to 13.5kg, some good golden trevally and even spanish up to 16kg.
Further up the creeks, the flathead are still performing well, a few nice grunter, whiting and pikie bream. The mangrove jacks are going off in most of the estuary systems, with some huge fish around 600mm and extremely fat!!
There are also some nice threadfin salmon in the estuaries and around the creek mouths.
Offshore reports have also been great, reds, trout and very large nannygai and red throats.
Get out there!!
